Hi all, I'm nominating Jianhui67 as administrator for Wikidata. He's done many deletion requests on the last months and has been very active. He is trusted user and has done good work on many Wikimedia wikis. He has made over 8.000 edits on Wikidata. I hope that he will accept this nomination. --Stryn (talk) 04:52, 6 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Thank you Stryn and I hereby accept the nomination. Jianhui67 talk★contribs 04:55, 6 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

- Support Good candidate. Ajraddatz (talk) 04:57, 6 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose I don't think he has enough experience to be an administrator here. This is mainly because over the past few months, he's repeatedly PM'd me about adminship here on IRC; most of the time it was something he should've known beforehand. Most of the time, his tone implied that he didn't really know what he was doing. Also, this might not be fair because this is not a self-nomination, but I don't see why he actually needs the tool.--Jasper Deng (talk) 05:00, 6 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- From "He's done many deletion requests" I would personally conclude that he will be helping on WD:RFD if elected.

Vogone (talk) 09:35, 6 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]- Jianhui67's last 50 merge requests go back to 30 May 2014 (these would be deletions if he was an admin). In comparison, Jasper, your last 50 deletions go back to 26 March 2014. Plus, none that I saw were declined deletion as being merged incorrectly. So you are basing your vote entirely off of the candidate asking whether or not he could apply to be an admin here on IRC, which I think is rather poor, and says nothing about the actual work and ability of the candidate. - How is this comment related to mine? Or is it just an indentation error? Vogone (talk) 19:07, 6 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

- You're opposing based off of comments on the IRC? Why not look at what the candidate has actually done on here? Ajraddatz (talk) 17:12, 6 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- I don't think he has enough experience to be an administrator here and i have zero tolerance for IRC canvassing --Steinsplitter (talk) 17:28, 6 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- @Steinsplitter: Let me be clear that I'm not accusing him of canvassing. He was not asking me to !vote support or anything. He was just asking too many questions that he should have been able to answer himself. But I stay with the oppose; if people believe IRC is a constructive thing for editors to do, it should be something I can judge a user by.--Jasper Deng (talk) 20:44, 6 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

- Support Jianhui could clearly use the tools, and I see no reason to deny him them. There's nothing wrong with asking questions for clarification, even if the questions might seem stupid. Why risk getting something wrong when you can double check with a more experienced administrator and increase your chances of getting it right? TCN7JM 08:21, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
