Motivation

Museums of Russia is one of the oldest sites on the Runet, existing since August 8, 1996. It was one of the first Russian-language portals about culture, while the Internet was being mastered by entertainment and business circles. Its design has remained the same for decades, even though the Internet has completely changed over the years.
