vandalism
[edit]Hoi, I do think that you either do not understand what you are doing or you should not be here. One can be remedied the latter is a choice. Thanks, GerardM (talk) 20:29, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks a lot. I introduced an erroneous statement modifying the label of a property. When I realized you corrected it already. Thanks. --Dig.log (talk) 20:45, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
Misplaced ghetto
[edit]I am afraid either the location (Ukraine) is bad here - either the coordinates (Belarus). Please check Q30007431 and also the cited Yad Encyuclopedia. Thanks. Gikü (talk) 18:33, 13 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks a lot. I will check in the sources/send to my colleagues and we will correct it in the next days.
- The problem was a error in the coordinates, we have corrected it. Thanks a lot again!!
Share your experience and feedback as a Wikimedian in this global survey
[edit]Hello! The Wikimedia Foundation is asking for your feedback in a survey. We want to know how well we are supporting your work on and off wiki, and how we can change or improve things in the future. The opinions you share will directly affect the current and future work of the Wikimedia Foundation. You have been randomly selected to take this survey as we would like to hear from your Wikimedia community. The survey is available in various languages and will take between 20 and 40 minutes.
You can find more information about this survey on the project page and see how your feedback helps the Wikimedia Foundation support editors like you. This survey is hosted by a third-party service and governed by this privacy statement (in English). Please visit our frequently asked questions page to find more information about this survey. Reminder: Share your feedback in this Wikimedia survey
[edit]Every response for this survey can help the Wikimedia Foundation improve your experience on the Wikimedia projects. So far, we have heard from just 29% of Wikimedia contributors. The survey is available in various languages and will take between 20 and 40 minutes to be completed. Take the survey now.
If you have already taken the survey, we are sorry you've received this reminder. We have design the survey to make it impossible to identify which users have taken the survey, so we have to send reminders to everyone. Coordinates
[edit]Hey Dig.log, at Wikidata:Forum someone has complained that coordinates in Plauen (Baumwollspinnerei) concentration camp (Q47531779) are incorrect, and we found that this is also the case for Plauen (Industriewerke AG) concentration camp (Q47531787). Both coordinates geolocate (roughly) in Plauen (Q8949) (quarter of Dresden), but not in Plauen (Q3952) (city in Saxony) where the camps were actually located. I have thus deprecated these coordinates claims [1][2], and ask you to check sources again for correct values. If the coordinates are indeed given in the sources, we should try to find correct ones and save them as well (with normal rank). Any thoughts? Thanks, MisterSynergy (talk) 07:22, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
P248 instead of P143
[edit]Hi, I noticed that (at least on one item) you have used stated in (P248) to cite Wikipedias, instead of using imported from Wikimedia project (P143) just to notice that the information comes from there (unnecessary IMO if there exists a valid source). Wikipedias generally are not considered valid sources: Help:Sources#Different_types_of_sources. It was noticed in Greek Wikipedia when in the relevant articles these wikipedias were cited in the references section through an automated infobox. -Geraki (talk) 12:21, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
Stari Grad concentration camp (Q45474868)

Some more unclear coordinates of camps
[edit]On WikiShootMe I have stumbled upon two items – Grulich concentration camp (Q47515645) and Deutsch Petersdorf concentration camp (Q53865604) – that seem to have the same issue as others have discovered before: The coordinates of camp near city Králíky (Q1321460) (in German Grulich) are actually where municipality Králíky (Q1790508) (Kralik) is, some 90km westward. (see this map of subcamps). Similarly, Camp in Petrovičky (Q6426605) (part of Mladkov municipality, ger. Deutsch Petersdorf), not far from Grulich, has the coordinates of Petrovičky (Q770877) municipality (Klein Petrowitz) that is also far away and is probably a mistake, although neither Petrovičky are on the aforelinked map.--TFerenczy (talk) 10:38, 6 March 2020 (UTC)
The same goes for the Austrian camps, the local administrative entity has been wrong so far (even though the municipality is mentioned in the name of the camp). Where did you get these coordinates from? Braveheart (talk) 08:21, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
I've started to remove coordinates that are clearly wrong. I don't know where you got them from, but a cross-check with the German Wikipedia articles would've made this clear. Braveheart (talk) 08:35, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
