About me

Hi, welcome! I am Tiago, a life scientist and Wikimedian in São Paulo, Brazil.

I have recently received my PhD at the University of São Paulo, working with Wikidata and the ontological modeling of concepts related to cell types. I have lots of fun coding, building software, and wrangling structured knowledge. I find the life sciences to be exquisitely beautiful and believe in open knowledge as a tool for happier lives.

My work

I've been contributing to Wikimedia projects since 2014, and you can check some work particular to each project on my user pages on each of them:

For works on external websites (like iNaturalist or GitHub) do check tiago.bio.br. Cheers!
Disclaimer: For details on my activities as a WiR, check the Meta user page.
