23rd Judicial District reports guilty pleas for Nov. 11-15

The 23rd Judicial District Attorney's Office, which includes the parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James, reported guilty pleas during the week of Nov. 11-15.
Ascension Parish:
- Brittney Brown, 1930 Rhodes Ave Baton Rouge, LA, age 36, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000 and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.
- Jennifer Persilver, 11004 Martin Rd. Ethel, LA, age 22, pled guilty to Identity Theft (3 counts), Unauthorized Use of a Food Stamp Card (3 counts), Forgery, and Bank Fraud. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
- Kacy Weise, 616 E Weber St. Gonzales, LA, age 39, pled guilty to Forgery of a Motor Vehicle Inspection Certificate and Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000. The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
- Damari Franklin, 4950 Martin Luther Saint Gabriel, LA, age 35, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000 and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. Defendant remains on home incarceration.
- Leonard Jacks, 12285 Laurel Ridge Rd. Saint Amant, LA, age 33, pled guilty to Simple Burglary and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
- Billy Morgan, 22970 Hwy 77 Grosse Tete, LA, age 46, pled guilty to Simple Burglary (2 counts) and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
- Jaylon Bell, 13278 Babin Estates Dr. Gonzales, LA, age 29, pled guilty to Theft of a Motor Vehicle by False Report and Affidavit and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. Imposition of sentence was deferred, and the defendant was placed on 2 years supervised probation.
- Katlyn Landry, 42553 Hwy 42 Prairieville, LA, age 28, pled guilty to Attempted Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and was sentenced to 7 ½ years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. Defendant remains on home incarceration.
- Ronnie Saulsberry, 48028 Brownsville Rd. Natalbany, LA, age 24, pled guilty to Simple Burglary and Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
- Trinity Williams, 15477 Timberstone Dr. Prairieville, LA, age 18, pled guilty to Distribution, Manufacture, or Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoids and Distribution, Manufacture, or Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. Imposition of sentence was deferred, and the defendant was placed on 3 years supervised probation.
- Caden Williams, 4330 Sherwood St. Baton Rouge, LA, age 19, pled guilty to Theft of a Motor Vehicle and was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.
- Jacob Dugas, 1010 Bayou Dr. Pierre Part, LA, age 38, pled guilty to Residential Contractor Fraud and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
- Jean Carter, 1120 Clyde Bank Dr. Harvey, LA, age 20, pled guilty to Access Device Fraud Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000, Bank Fraud, and Forgery. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Philip Prescott, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Jason Verdigets.
Assumption Parish:
- Jose Gordillo, 115 ½ Wisteria Dr. Hattiesburg, MS, age 20, pled guilty to Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery and was sentenced to 20 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
- Kenya Lewis, 108 College Point Napoleonville, LA, age 27, pled guilty to Automobile Insurance Policies Fraud (2 counts) and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
- Ronald Washington Jr., 324 Half Oak Dr. Thibodaux, LA, age 28, pled guilty to Manslaughter and was sentenced to 30 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
- Matherne Johnson, 1351 McGinnis St. Donaldsonville, LA, age 66, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
- Candice Ross, 1708 East Garner St. Morgan City, LA, age 38, pled guilty to Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
- Alex Castro, 1644 Alexander Ct. Gretna, LA, age 19, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000 and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
- Jerret Cortez, 249 Vivian St. Morgan City, LA, age 36, pled guilty to Domestic Abuse Battery Involving Strangulation and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Lana Chaney, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge John Smith.
St. James Parish:
- Lloyd Brooks, 234 Plum St. Gramercy, LA, age 60, pled guilty to Failure to Register and Notify as a Sex Offender or Child Predator. Sentencing was deferred to a later date pending a Pre-Sentence Investigation.
- Shatisha Burns, 656 N Ezidore St. Gramercy, LA, age 47, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $5,000 or More, but Less than $25,000 and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.
- Mack Mclemore, 207 North Jackson Ave. Quitman, MS, age 36, pled guilty to Domestic Abuse with Serious Bodily Injury. Sentencing was deferred to a later date.
