Indian Rocks Beach, Florida The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) closed the 15th Avenue Beach Access in Indian Rocks Beach and evacuated the beach after reports of suspect UXO. The PCSO called in the local bomb squad as well as the Air Force EOD unit at nearby MacDill Air Force Base to investigate the suspect item.
Lebanon, Ohio Local authorities were alerted after the discovery of a World War-era grenade, prompting the Butler County bomb squad to respond. The incident began when the Lebanon Police Department was notified about the grenade, which was reported to be intact. According to Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones, the grenade belonged to the grandfather of the individual who initially reported its presence; this grandfather served in World War II.

Claybanks Township, Michigan A Michigan family pulled up more than scrap metal while magnet fishing on their Oceana County property on the shore of Lake Michigan. It was a rusted artillery shell which prompted a visit from a Michigan State Police bomb squad.
Thirteen-year-old Ehren Coffey said, "We pulled it up and my mom was like, 'This looks like a bomb.'" Coffey and his brother and mother pulled the ordnance to shore. "I mean, it was a little scary, but I wasn't too scared," he said.

Engine 31 and the Special Operations Chief stood by while awaiting the Tennessee Highway Patrol Bomb Squad to respond to safely neutralized the explosives on site.
Residents were reminded to never handle suspected explosives and to call authorities immediately for proper disposal. Officials explained that aging dynamite can become highly unstable and pose a serious risk if moved or disturbed.
