About Account Verification
Verification in eToro will take approximately up to 5 business days if all the required documents are submitted.
During this time our teams will be going over the details and documents that have been submitted to make sure we verify your account according to the latest regulatory requirements.
Should we require any further information, we will be sending you an email to the registered email address with the required additions. These might include any issues with the documents submitted like a lack of details, or a problem with the eligibility of the document.
These are regulatory obligations from eToro as a regulated financial institution.
On Deposits at eToro
Deposits on eToro are divided into instant payment methods and ones that might take longer like a Bank Transfer.
Instant payments like Credit Card, e-wallets and others will appear immediately on your eToro account.
Other methods might take several business days to arrive depending on the payment provider chosen. When sending a Bank Transfer, please make sure to take the bank details from the eToro platform according to the chosen currency.
It is of the utmost importance to include the unique Transaction ID to allow eToro to efficiently recognize the transfer and credit your investing account.
Caution - 3rd party payments are prohibited. eToro will ONLY accept payments done from a method of payment under the eToro account owner’s name.

Key points on Withdrawals at eToro
Withdrawals at eToro have a flat fee of $5 USD. *Except in the USA where we do NOT charge a withdrawal fee.
A withdrawal in eToro has 2 stages. Once received, the request to withdraw will be processed by our teams within 2 business days.
Following the processing, a withdrawal will take an additional 3-8 business days until the funds arrive to the used method of payment.
It is important to note that this time period depends entirely on the payment service provider.
Emails will be sent at both stages confirming the request was received, that the withdrawal has been processed and to which method of payment it was withdrawn.

All about Trading/Market Disruptions
Trading disruptions are situations in which markets cease to function regularly, usually defined by fast and extensive movements in the market. There is no one specific reason for this - they can derive from unusual trading (such as a crash or a pump) or physical threats to the stock market.
No matter what the case is, trading disruptions are a result of the unusual conditions in the market, which can cause panic and disruptions to trading.
Why you might not be able to open or close a position during a market disruption
- Lack of liquidity, or inability to receive pricing from our liquidity providers
- A stock might be halted by the exchange
- Inability to open SELL positions due to an asset being “unborrowable”
- An unborrowable asset is an asset that won’t be lent out to short-sellers, which might happen when there is no one willing to lend out the asset.
- Extreme volatility on different asset types.
On eToro, the SELL side is not available when the asset is unborrowable.

In general, when an asset is not available during halting periods, set order rates that are triggered (Stop Loss, Take Profit) during the halt will be executed on the next available executable rate when trading resumes.

Don't bother using them. Use trading 212 instead
Don't bother. Iv been trading now for a few months building a pot and you go to withdraw which says (instant withdraw).
It's never instant, it's always atleast 20 days. And you have to mither them like he'll for them to 'figure out' what's happening.
It's okay for them to take your money instantly but they won't give it back.

Thankfully, after doing my own research, I found a reputable firm that knew exactly how to step in and they managed to get my funds back. If you ever face something similar, just know there’s help out there, and I’m happy to share the steps that worked for me

There are some minor issues
trading and buying in general is fine, it does the job. But if you get hacked or messed up - good luck. I dont think the customer support is top tier (the fact they reply to every single post here is not a replacement for real support). They have lots of new traders and so they need to take care of them....
- They have CFDs, and the fact they still work in US is a mystery to me, how that possible
- The 7000+ assets is great, can't take that away from them.
- Have cryptos for trading, and I found it quite ok to trade that.
So its not bad, but just not great atm.

Absolutely disgusting service
I am now into my 8th week regarding verification. The distress this has caused me and still every time I send them their requested documentation they ask for more and yet another week passes by.
It is incredible that they have the power to stop me accessing my own money for 2 months! I can't withdraw my money, I can't trade and I also can't add money. I had trades open which were closed out during this 8 week period due to them stopping me adding money to cover the trade/margin. I have lost thousands due to this.
Their verification process is a a complete shambles. I will update this review once I have received a satisfactory resolution.
As promised, I stated in my review that I'd update it. I've since been verified yesterday 19/08/2025 and when I've tried to deposit a small amount of money to my eToro Money Account today 20/08/2025, it has disappeared from my trading account and now I can't access my money again. Incredible, absolutely disgusting and disgraceful! I am 56 years old and THIS is the worst company I've ever dealt with. I will update if this is EVER resolved. 9th week on Monday, yep over 2 months where I CAN'T ACCESS MY OWN MONEY!!!!!
