A Dayton, Tennessee, man faces a criminal homicide charge after he allegedly shot his daughter during an argument.
Calvino Eugene Mynatt, 49, was being held without bond Monday in the Rhea County Jail in connection with the shooting death of Alisha Inman, 32, at a residence on Walnut Grove Road, according to a statement from the Dayton Police Department and Rhea County General Sessions Court records.
Officers were dispatched at 6:14 p.m. Friday to an apartment building, where they found Inman with a gunshot wound, Dayton police said in the statement. Mynatt was taken into custody at an apartment building at the intersection of Walnut Grove Road and Broadway Street in North Dayton.

A court affidavit filed by Dayton police Investigator Michael Dailey Green said Mynatt was sitting on the front steps of his apartment holding a handgun he eventually placed on the ground after a "brief negotiation." Mynatt allegedly told police he and Inman were arguing over household chores, and she shoved him and he shoved her back as the altercation escalated.
The affidavit said Inman then allegedly punched Mynatt in the chest, according to Mynatt's account to police.
"Calvino stated that he pulled his handgun from his holster and shot Alisha in the chest one time, and she fell to the ground," Green's affidavit said.
Inman, who was pronounced dead after she was taken to nearby Rhea Medical Center, was not armed, and police saw no evidence on Mynatt of an assault, according to the affidavit.
Mynatt had no attorney on record, court officials said.
