Two hikers, including a man who slid down a slope and was stuck clinging to a near vertical hill above a boulder ridden drop, were saved by multiple rescue teams Saturday on the Lost Coast Trail about eight miles north of Shelter Cove. A Coast Guard crew hoisted the two hikers off the hill with a helicopter. The man who slid had moderate injuries, but was flown to safety along with his fellow hiker.
