EASTENDERS has kicked off a shock new affair - with Kathy Beale enjoying an afternoon romp.
The businesswoman - who is played by actress Gillian Taylforth in the BBC soap - has been flirting with Harvey Monroe for months.

The pair shared a brief kiss months ago but it went nowhere as Harvey is in a relationship with Jean Slater.
However Jean has been treating Harvey as nothing more than an annoyance lately and it’s all got too much.
But after Jean let him down again and left him cooking a slap-up lunch for them without even telling him she wouldn’t be there, Harvey was done.
It pushed Harvey to breaking point when Mo turned up in Jean’s place and he stormed out.

Going into the cafe, he found out Kathy was at home and raced around there to kiss her.
One thing led to another and they were soon enjoying some afternoon delight in the Beale house.
However afterwards Harvey’s guilt was too much - and he tried to break things off.
But just hours later Harvey changed his mind again and took Kathy up The Albert’s stairs to confess all.

He told her: “I’m going to tell Jean, I care about her and I don’t want to hurt her but things haven’t been right for a long time.
“But when I’m with you Kath, I feel good. I know you feel it too.
“We’ve been given a chance here, a last shot at happiness. Please Kath, I want you. If you feel just a fraction of what I do…”
But she told him: “I can’t rip your family apart Harvey, there’s been too much pain already.
“We’d have to be so careful. I don’t want to lose you either and I’d understand if you don’t want to go behind anyone’s back…”

But it didn't stop him also marrying Shelley, but he was eventually caught when Lucy turned up in Weatherfield and the two women confronted him.
