The MTR Corporation asked passengers to consider all other route options as an alternative as Kwun Tong MTR line train services between Prince Edward and Ho Man Tin will be suspended for cable works on Sunday.

On that day, the Kwun Tong Line will be divided into two sections running between Tiu Keng Leng and Prince Edward and between Ho Man Tin and Whampoa.

The affected stations - Prince Edward, Mong Kok, Yau Ma Tei, and Ho Man Tin - will remain open to the Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines.

The railway operator warned that Prince Edward MTR station will be very busy on Sunday.

"Prince Edward station will be very busy because it will be the only interchange station between Kwun Tong Line and Tsuen Wan Line stations," Lee said, adding crowd control measures will be in place while suggesting passengers take alternative railway lines.

To ensure that Prince Edward Station operates smoothly and in a safe and orderly manner, Kwun Tong Line will run with a frequency of five minutes, the Tsuen Wan Line every 3.5 minutes, and the Tuen Mun Line every 5.5 minutes.

The company will also cooperate with KMB to provide free bus services to passengers traveling between Yau Ma Tei and, Ho Man Tin and Whampoa.

Passengers can travel for free on Route 8, between Yau Ma Tei and Ho Man Tin, or at designated bus stops on Route 30X, between Yau Ma Tei and Whampoa, with both frequencies increasing to every 10 minutes.
