When “Canceled” details the firestorm that followed, the amount of incompetence on display is shocking.

The winning painting is on display along with 70 others selected, from more than 3,000 entries, for the John Moores Painting Prize 2025 exhibition at the Walker Art Gallery which runs from 6 September until 1 March 2026.

About 200 items will be on display at the centre, but visitors can book an appointment to view anything from the collection in person – from stage costumes to handwritten lyrics – by filling out an online form.

Inside, three glass-lined labs are linked by "clever interconnecting corridors that balance stringent security with transparency, putting science on display".
