LAHORE : Provincial Health Ministers Khawaja Salman Rafique and Khawaja Imran Nazir visited Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Mayo Hospital and Children’s Hospital Lahore to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with the patients.
Speaking on this occasion, Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir said that Punjab Chief Minister is taking historic steps for the improvement of the health sector. Providing relief to patients in government hospitals is our first mission.
He lauded the doctors, nurses and paramedical staff who served patients in government hospitals far from their loved ones on the auspicious occasion of Eid.
Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique paid tribute to the doctors, nurses and paramedical staff who served patients in all hospitals during Eid days. “We have come to share the joys of Eid-ul-Fitr with the patients and we pray to Allah Almighty to grant us the ability to serve the country and the nation in the true sense”.
He said Provincial Health Department is striving to provide the best health facilities to the people as per the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. “Punjab CM is trying her best to improve the conditions of government hospitals”.
KEMU Vice Chancellor Prof Mahmood Ayaz, on this occasion, said that free treatment is being provided to patients in nine hospitals affiliated to King Edward Medical University.
Parliamentary Secretary Rushda Lodhi, Fatima Jinnah Medical University Vice Chancellor Prof Khalid Masood Gondal, MS Dr Arif Iftikhar, King Edward Medical University Vice Chancellor Prof Mahmood Ayaz, CEO Mayo Hospital Prof Haroon Hamid, Prof Abrar Ashraf, MS Dr Ehtesham-ul-Haq, University of Child Health Sciences Vice Chancellor Prof Masood Sadiq, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Junaid Rashid, MD Children’s Hospital Prof Tipu Sultan and other faculty members were present on the occasion.
Provincial health ministers visited the emergency ward, children’s ward and other departments of all the three hospitals. They also presented gifts and distributed sweets to patients in different wards during their visit.
Meanwhile, Provincial Minister for Health and Emergency Services Punjab Khawaja Salman Rafique appreciated the services rendered by doctors, nurses and paramedical staff who sacrifice their happiness to serve patients in government hospitals on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. In a message, the minister said, ‘I salute the sons of the nation who are far from their loved ones and protect Pakistani borders. May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to serve Pakistan in the true sense.’ According to the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, efforts are being made to provide health facilities to the people. A new era in the health sector of Punjab has begun. Zero-tolerance on corruption is being ensured 100 percent in the health department, he added.
