The Wharton Center will host “Jazz at Lincoln Center: New Orleans Songbook” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 25.

The soul of New Orleans and the spirit of Mardi Gras will live in this celebration of the composers and inspired songs of the Crescent City, the historic epicenter of jazz. From Jelly Roll Morton and Louis Armstrong, to Ellis Marsalis and James Black, New Orleans has long been a center of musical innovation and inspiration.

The ensemble is led by 2019 MSU Jazz Studies alum Luther S. Allison on piano, along with vocalists Quiana Lynell and Milton Suggs.

Tickets start at $25.

The Wharton Center is located at 750 E. Shaw Lane, East Lansing, on the campus of Michigan State University.
