THE Nelson seconds travelled to in-form Taffs Well and in the blustery conditions took the valuable three league points.Nelson's forwards started the match at a relentless pace and soon had the home side back pedalling at every phase of the game.
Playing with the blustery wind the Unicorns attacked at every opportunity.
Tries came for second-rows Chris Bax and Lee Thomas plus No.8 Ross Coombes.
The Nelson Youth team entered a squad in the Bedlinog senior seven-a-side-tournament and the Unicorn colts were a revelation.
Nelson entertained and amazed the opposition teams and spectators with their brand of running attacking rugby.
Their great skills saw them defeat teams from Loughborough and Uwic colleges and the stage was set when they took on host team Bedlinog in the final of the event.
The young Nelson lads were far too good for their opponents and ran the host outfit ragged, winning 36-14.
Unicorn youth winger Geraint Williams was the competition's top try scorer.
