Minnesota marks 110th anniversary.

The Minnesota Public Health Association in April celebrated its 110th anniversary, honoring the occasion with a celebration before the association's annual conference, "Moving Health Equity Forward: Critical Conversations and Bold Actions."

To commemorate more than a century of public health service, MPHA held an open house at the Social Welfare History Archives at the University of Minnesota Libraries. Guests toured the massive underground archives that are bigger than two football fields and viewed selected materials from MPHA's records collection, now a permanent part of the Social Welfare History Archives.

Guests also viewed MPHA's 110th anniversary video, featuring highlights from past events and initiatives. Among the Affiliate's accomplishments are the creation of a health equity committee and global health committee and sponsorship of the State of Public Health Forum 2017 with the Minnesota Department of Health.
