Pop Shop in Tonyrefail for many decades.
NEW YORK -- After nearly 20 years of business, the Keith Haring Foundation, Inc., this month will close the
Pop Shop, which housed floor-to-ceiling murals, as well as T-shirts, hats and accessories that bore the well-known imagery of artist Keith Haring.
Needless to say, the neighborhood mom and
pop shop owners were usually not keen to give their consent to the opening of large, modern, clean stores, often with on-site parking, longer hours and selling a greater variety of products less expensively than mom and pop ever could.
At Catterick,
Pop Shop can score in the Paddock Suite Handicap (3.50).
Examples include Human Rights Campaign wares (caps, T-shirts, watches), a string of rainbow-colored origami Christmas tree lights benefiting the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, and art-emblazoned stock (including T-shirts and bags) from Keith Haring's nonprofit
Pop Shop in SoHo.
