Singer Courtney Love has joined a growing list of Donald Dashers—celebrities escaping the U.S. at the dawn of Trump 2.0.
The 60-year-old revealed during an appearance at the Royal Geographical Society in London that she is becoming a British citizen and joining a long list of stars fleeing the country because of Trump’s “frightening” return to the Capitol.
“I’m really glad I’m here,” she told the London audience. “It’s so great to live here. I’m finally getting my British citizenship in six months. I get to be a citizen—I’m applying, man! Can’t get rid of me!”
Her remarks were welcomed with booming applause.

The Hole singer, who was married to late Nirvana star Kurt Cobain until he died via suicide in 1994, slammed the Trump administration—including the president and his rich group of posses.
“In terms of Trump, and particularly this group... it’s like emperor-core—like, [they’re] wearing million-dollar watches,” she quipped. “Emperor-core is going on at Mar-a-Lago. It’s frightening now. It’s like cyanide now.”

Other celebrities who have left the country include actress-comedian Ellen DeGeneres, and her wife Portia de Rossi, Barbie actor Ryan Gosling, and his wife Eva Mendes, designer Tom Ford, comedian Rosie O’Donnell, and actress Eva Longoria who has moved to Spain.
It would seem like Love, in particular, will be in the company of actress America Ferrera, who is rumored to have relocated to the U.K. already.
Love and her daughter Frances Cobain have already been residing in London, having relocated from Los Angeles in 2019. In fact, the singer has been open about her love for the city for a while. Back in 2017, she said, “I know I’m going to end up there,” the Daily Mail reported.

She added: “I know what neighborhood I’m going to end up in, and I know that I want to be on the Thames. I subscribe to this magazine called Country Life, which is just real-estate porn and fox hunting. It’s amazing.”
In addition to the list of woke celebrities, dubbed “Donald Dashers,” moving to the U.K. since Trump’s re-election is a longer list of everyday Americans who have also applied for U.K. citizenship with a record-breaking 6,100 plus U.S. applicants in 2024.
