Alpine F1 signs performance and research-focused deal with Hytro

The Renault-owned Alpine Formula 1 team has signed up blood flow restriction (BFR) wearable brand Hytro as a sponsor.

The agreement will see Hytro supply its BFR products to Alpine’s drivers across F1 and F1 Academy, as well as the team’s pit crew.

With Alpine’s F1 Academy drivers, Sofia Floresch and Abbi Pulling, a particular focus will be placed on the collection of data relating to the impact of Hytro products on women’s sport. This will form part of a collaborative effort to research and publish a number of BFR studies, aimed at developing the understanding of BFR’s effects on athletic conditioning and recovery.

Alpine had already been utilising Hytro products as part of its Alpine Academy training routine for the past three years.

For Alpine, the signing of Hytro follows news earlier this month of a renewal of its agreement with the Venetian Resort Las Vegas for the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix this coming November.
