Information & Referral

​The Force and Family Readiness team is your one stop shop for information and referrals to assist with a multitude of military and civilian inquiries. Our goals is to act as your liaison to the community in providing the best assistance in all matters of life to ensure an optimal state of resiliency and readiness. Individuals needing assistance may visit the Resource Center or reach us via the contact information at the top of the page.

Communication

Please like us on FaceBook at USSOCOM FRG and ensure you and your spouse are added to our secret group by emailing us with the sponsor’s information and FB email of those wishing to be added. In addition our spouse distro is maintained in AtHoc, please add your spouse’s information to include their preferred email to the FFR email box. We send our monthly emails with current events and information via SOCOM All and to the spouses on the FFR distro.

Volunteers

Volunteers are always needed to help with our Force and Family Readiness Program (FFRP). Volunteers help with morale events, host meetings and our military members with activities like our moral lunches. We utilize the Presidential Award system track volunteer hours and support the bright futures initiative for our teen volunteers. Educational Opportunities & Lunch and Learns

​Force and Family Readiness offers a variety of presentations to share information and resources on subjects of interest to SOCOM members and families. These voluntary opportunities are typically held at the Resource Center on Tuesdays and Thursday between the hours of 1100 to 1230, and provide opportunities for collaboration and questions with other members and the subject matter experts. Different areas of interest are covered and include such topics in Financial Management, Health & Wellness, Military Service Benefits, Career Transition, Personal Development, and more. Reservations are required for seating, please check our monthly calendar for opportunities.

FOCUS

Families Over Coming Under Stress (FOCUS) is a resiliency training program designed to assist families and couples in responding to the challenges of operational stress and military life. FOCUS aims to enhance family cohesion; support the parent- child relationship; and build emotional regulation, communication, and problem- solving skills across the family. Military & Family Life Counseling Program

MFLC offers free non-clinical/non-medical counseling for individuals, couples, families, staffs, and groups. Our counselor can help with concerns such as bereavement, communication skills, anger management, conflict resolution, occupational stress, stress management, family dynamics, child behavior, family separation, and relationships. ​Relocation Assistance

Force and Family Readiness can also provide information and resources when you are relocating and or transitioning out of the military. We will do our best to answer any questions you may have or point you in the right direction. In addition we can connect you with local spouse organizations or assist in getting you a sponsor if not already assigned.

Spouse Employment

Moving to a new station comes with many challenges, but we do our best to lighten the stress load. In addition to the spouse employment support through Military & Family Readiness Center, we can provide our spouses with information and resource tools to find employment. Deployment Assistance

​Our Force and Family Readiness Representatives will keep in communication with family members of those deployed. Please ensure that you have added your family members to our distribution list and added their information to AtHoc.
