INTRODUCTION

Internet is a global connection of computer networks that use standard protocol suite to serve billions of users. Packet switched networks started at early 1960s they are ARPANET, MARK 1, CYCLADES, MERIT NETWORK, TYMNET AND TELENET. Internet carries an extensive range of information, inter linked hypertext documents of world wide web. Internet is commercialized in 1995,remove the restrictions to carry commercial traffics. Internet born in USA and passed to Europe and Australia in 1980s and came to Asia in early 1990s. In mid 1990s Internet created tremendous Impact on culture and commerce.

WEBSITE

Website is a set of related web pages containing content such as text, images, video, audio, multimedia files etc. A Website must be hosted on at least on Web server to become accessible through the Internet. Webpage is a document resource that is suitable to WWW and can be accessed through any web browser and displayed on monitor. Webpages are mainly accessed in the form of hyperlinks. Webpages are requested and served from web servers using HTTP. Webpages divided into two types

Static webpage Dynamic webpage

STATIC WEBPAGE

A static webpage is sometimes called Flat page, which is delivered to user exactly as stored. Static webpage displays same information for all users from all contexts.

DYNAMIC WEBPAGE

A dynamic website is one that changes or customizes itself frequently and automatically, based on certain criteria. Dynamic web pages works based on two things Client side scripting Sever side scripting

SOFTWARE SYSTEMS

ANSI C servlets, Java Server Pages (JSP), the PHP, Perl, Python, and Ruby programming languages, ASP.NET, Active Server Pages (ASP), YUMA and ColdFusion (CFML) that are available to generate dynamic web systems and dynamic sites. Plug ins are available to expand the features and abilities of web browsers to show active content or even create rich Internet applications Dynamic HTML also provides for user interactivity and real time element updating within web pages Sites are differed based on what purpose they are using such as Attack site, blog site, celebrity site, community site, content site, news site, gaming site, religious site, social networking site, web mail site etc.

CREATING A DOMAIN NAME

Domain name is used to represent an Internet Protocol resource such as the address of the site, address of the server. First commercial domain is TLD.COM Domain name registration is done by Domain Name Registrars administrated by DNS. Domain are divided into two types Top level domains Second and lower level domains

There are several types of blogs based on the content such as Personal Blogs, Corporate Blogs, Organizational Blogs, Media Blogs, device Blogs, Reverse Blog etc. Blogs allow us to place text, images, videos, link and any other types of multimedia files and also we can add new pages to our Blog.
