Indian Model of Management

The document discusses the need for an Indian model of management. It notes that India had a very prosperous economy and good management systems for many centuries. However, when British rule introduced Western management styles, Indian businesses and economy declined. While Western models dominated globally, they are not always suitable for non-Western countries like India due to cultural differences. The document argues that an Indian model of management that incorporates the country's cultural values and management traditions would be more effective for India than strictly emulating Western approaches.
