The character of a surface created by the response of vision to the wavelength of light. It identifies objects, creates moods, and affects emotions. (warm, cool, primary, secondary, intermediate, analogous, and complementary).
Hue: Hue refers to the name of a color. The term is used to point out the difference between a blue and a green or a red and a yellow.

Intensity - brightness or dullness of a color. A pure hue is a high-intensity color. A dulled hue doesnt stand out as much and can appear grayish.
