Manufacturing Process: - A. Manideep

The document discusses manufacturing processes and machining processes. It defines manufacturing processes as consisting of three phases: (1) bringing material into a suitable state, (2) creating the desired geometry or properties changes, and (3) secondary processes. Basic processes are classified as primary if they are associated with phase 2 and secondary if associated with phases 1 or 3. Machining processes are then classified as traditional, such as turning, drilling, and milling, or non-traditional, which use various energies like mechanical, electrochemical, electro-thermal, or chemical means to remove material.

Definition Of Manufacturing Process :

A manufacturing process normally consists of a series of basic processes, which constitute the structure of the material flow. Any series of basic processes can be divided into three typical phases: that bring the material into a suitable stategeometry and/or properties (heating, melting, sawing, cropping, etc. i-for the primary change in geometry and/or properties Phase 2 : which consists of the basic processes that create the desired geometry and/or change in properties Phase 3 : which consists of the basic processes

Basic Requirements Of Machining Process

Classification Of Machining Process

* Traditional Machining Process

1.Turning: A cutting tool with a single cutting edge is used to remove material from a rotating work piece to generate a cylindrical shape.
