IMU

The document describes an automatic street light control system that uses a Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensor to sense light levels and control street lights accordingly. The system aims to reduce energy consumption by not keeping street lights on during the day or turning them on too early. It uses an LM324 comparator IC along with other components like an LDR, LED, resistors, capacitor, transformer and bulb. The LDR acts as a switch - its high resistance in low light cuts power to the lights, while its low resistance in high light allows power to flow and turn the lights on. This creates an automatic switching system to intelligently control street lighting based on ambient light conditions.

Automatic Street Light Control

Introduction
1. Automatic Street Light Control System is a simple yet powerful concept, which uses transistor as a switch. 2. This is done by a sensor called Light Dependant Resistor (LDR) which senses the light actually like our eyes. 3. By using this system energy consumption is also reduced because nowadays the manually operated street lights are not switched off even the sunlight comes and also switched on earlier before sunset.

Block diagram of LM324

Description
LM324 is a 14pin IC consisting of four independent operational amplifiers (op-amps) compensated in a single package. These op-amps are operated by a single power supply LM324 and need for a dual supply is eliminated. They can be used as amplifiers, comparators, oscillators, rectifiers etc.

Circuit diagram of 9v regulator 7809

Description
Here is the circuit diagram of 9 V regulator using popular 7809 IC. The 7809 is a 9 Volt voltage regulator IC with features such as internal current limit, safe area protection, thermal protection etc. A 16 V transformer brings down the 230V mains, 1A bridge rectifier rectifies it and capacitor C1 filters it and 7809 regulates it to produce a steady9V DC output.

LDR & LED

When the light level is low the resistance of the LDR is high. This prevents current from flowing to the base of the transistors. Consequently the LED does not light. Here in our project to avoid the light from led to fall on to LDR we place a box in which we will keep our jewelry. If any one removes the box the light from led falls directly on to the LDR and then the transistor will be on which is monitored by the microcontroller. Light-emitting diodes are elements for light signalization in electronics. They are manufactured in different shapes, colors and sizes. They perform similar to common diodes with the difference that they emit light when current flows through them.
