Game Development
INTRODUCTION
1.1 –Introduction :
 The “GAME” project provide various
services to its users .

 Games as a Service (GaaS) was introduced

as a barrier between consumer cost
concerns and user engagement. It offers a
way to
bring down customer acquisition costs
and has been proven to keep users in a
game for far longer than the pay-to-play
method.
 Games as a Service acts as a continuous
revenue service for developers, allowing
them to break their reliance on the one-
time purchase. With more games being
developed every year, GaaS gives them a
competitive advantage in the fight for
user attention. It also allows advertisers
INTRODUCTION

1.2 – Definition :
 Game Development is the art of creating
games and describes the design,
development and release of a game. It may
involve concept generation, design, build,
test and release. While you create a game, it
is important to think about the game
mechanics, rewards, player engagement and
level design.

 A game developer could be a programmer, a

sound designer, an artist, a designer or
many other roles available in the industry.

 A game played by electronically

manipulating image produced by a computer
program on a television screen or other
INTRODUCTION

1.3 –Purpose :
 Games help develop practical skills, serve as a form of
exercise, or otherwise perform an educational,
simulation, or psychological role.

 Controller-based games can be great for your hands. In

a study involving a group of surgeons, researchers found
that those who played video games were faster at
performing advanced procedures and made 37 percent
fewer mistakes than those who didn’t. Special video
games have also been used as physical therapy to help
stroke victims regain control of their hands and wrists.
INTRODUCTION

1.4 – Scope :
 Game Designing is one of the most upcoming
Courses for students who wanted to make a
Game Designer Career in India in animation. The
gaming industry is rapidly growing at a pace of
50% per annum. There is a very wide and bright
future in game design in India. Students can earn
up to 3 Lakh to 5 Lakh PA.

 India is on 18th rank in the global gaming

industry, making a revenue of $422
Million every year.

1.5 -Technology Used:

i. ( Unity Game Engine)

ii. ( Blender )

iii.Unity Game Engine :

 Unity is a cross-platform game engine
developed by Unity Technologies, which is
primarily used to develop video games and
simulations for computers, consoles and
mobile devices. First announced only for OS X,
at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference
in 2005, it has since been extended to target
27 platforms.
INTRODUCTION

ii. Blender :
 Blender is a free and open-source
3D computer graphics software tool set used
for creating animated films, visual effects, art,
3D-printed models, motion graphics,
interactive 3D applications, virtual reality, and,
formerly, video games. Blender's features
include 3D modelling, UV mapping, texturing,
digital drawing, raster graphics editing,
rigging and skinning,
fluid and smoke simulation, particle
simulation, soft body simulation, sculpting,
animation, match moving, rendering, motion
graphics, video editing, and compositing.
INTRODUCTION

1.6-Project Goal :
 By completing this projects my
basic skills will be sharpened and
won't be basic anymore.

 in completing such project it will

develop as well as boost my self-
confidence.

 To gain more knowledge about the

topic of my interest and work which
is going to help me in my
further studies.
RISK MANAGEMENT

2.1- Risk management:

 Risk management is the human activity which
integrates recognition of risk (Identification), risk
assessment (Analysis), developing strategies to
manage it (Planning) and mitigation of risk using
managerial resources.
 Some categories of risk include product size,
business impact, and customer-related process,
Technology, Development Environment ,
Staffing, Schedule and cost.
RISK MANAGEMENT

2.2- Risk Analysis:

 Whenever a main server crashes then
data present inside the server will be
crashed permanently, living behind
nothing.
 Hacking of an account will cause the
intruder to misuse the privileges and can
access secure data and information.

ii. UNREAL ENGINE:

 Unreal Engine (UE) is a 3D computer graphics
game engine developed by Epic Games, first showcased
in the 1998 first-person shooter game Unreal. Initially
developed for PC first-person shooters, it has since been
used in a variety of genres of games and has seen
adoption by other industries, most notably the film and
television industry. Written in C++, the Unreal Engine
features a high degree of portability, supporting a wide
range of desktop, mobile, console and virtual reality
platforms.
SYSTEM REQUIRMENT

iii. GAME MAKER : STUDIO:

 GameMaker is primarily intended for making
games with 2D graphics, allowing out-of-box use of
raster graphics, vector graphics (via SWF), and 2D
skeletal animations (via Esoteric Software's
Spine) along with a large standard library for
drawing graphics and 2D primitives. While the
software allows for limited use of 3D graphics, this
is in form of vertex buffer and matrix functions, and
as such not intended for novice users.

 To change the game art entirely since for now I'm using free
assets to design the levels.
 To add more dungeons and increase player grade's system.
 Add more different enemies in the game
 Adding mission giver NPCS.
 Adding pet that follows the player and help
him/her in the combat.
