Value System

Values are enduring beliefs that significantly influence individual behavior and are crucial in understanding organizational dynamics. They can be categorized into personal, social, family, and cultural values, each playing a role in shaping attitudes and actions. A business value system reflects the principles guiding a company's operations and stakeholder interactions, as illustrated by the Patels' commitment to integrity over profit in their bakery business.

VALUE SYSTEM

■A business value system is a set of

beliefs and principles that guide the
way a company conducts its
operations and interacts with
stakeholders
Example

■ Once upon a time, the Patels owned a bakery, Sweet Haven. When a
supermarket chain offered to buy them out, promising riches, they
declined. They valued integrity, community, and quality over profit.
Their decision earned them even more loyalty and success from their
customers, employees, and suppliers, making Sweet Haven a
beloved fixture in the community for generations to come.
