Lab Report

Objectives
Objectives refer to your reasons of doing this experiment.
Objectives should be written in one of the following manner:
● To learn about this
● To know how to do this
● To observe how this works
Objectives must be written as points.
Introduction
Introduction should contain definitions and other informations about the
experiments.
For today’s experiment the introduction could be definition of boolean algebra,
truth table etc.
Introduction should be at most a full page and at least half of a page.
Apparatus
Apparatus means the instruments you used to perform the experiment.
For example ICs, wires, trainer boards and logisim software.
Apparatus should be written as a table looking like below:

Experimental Details
This is the most important part. It should contain everything about the experiment.
Problem statements, function simplifications, circuit diagrams, truth tables, IC pin
diagrams etc.
Discussions and Conclusion
This part should contain discussion about how the experiment went and what was
the final result. Was the result what you expected, were there any problems with
your work.
Discussion and conclusion should at least a full page and at most one and a half
of a page.
Important to Remember
● Whole lab report should be 3 to 4 page, maximum 5 pages.
● Every table in the report should precede with table name and number.
● Every diagram should end with figure name and number.
● Lab report should be written by hand.
● If your lab report is an exact copy of someone elses you will get no
marks.
