Blockchain Based Voting System - Seminar-2

The project seminar focuses on developing a Blockchain-based voting system to enhance the security and accessibility of voting in India, addressing issues like voter fraud and the inability of some citizens to vote due to geographic constraints. The proposed system utilizes key features of blockchain technology, such as immutability and distributed control, to ensure transparent and efficient voting processes. The project timeline outlines phases from research and planning to development and thesis preparation.

biggest part of this democracy is voting.
But a lot of people are not able to vote
because they are not present at the places
where they need to cast their votes
because of factors such as studying in other
cities, Jobs, Businesses etc.
 EVM machines, which are vulnerable to
voting fraud and machine tampering.

 We aim to develop a product which could let

them cast the vote to their representative they
likes at their convenience.

E-voting using Blockchain
technology has gained attention as
a potential solution to enhance the
security, transparency, and
efficiency of traditional voting
systems.
This new technology works through four
main features: 1. The Blockchain ledger
is distributed and no single party
controls
2. Once a transaction is added to the
ledger it cannot be edited or
deleted.
3. Any proposed “new block” to the
ledger must reference the previous
version of the ledger, creating an
immutable chain from where the
blockchain gets its name, and thus
preventing tampering with the integrity
of previous entries.
3 4. The majority of the nodes must reach
a consensus before a transaction is
