The word value is derived from Latin ‘VALERE’ that mean ‘to
be strong’ or ‘to be worth’.

Definition of Value

Values are our codes of internal conduct.


A belief or feeling that someone or something is
worthwhile.
They help us to determine what is important to us.
Values are the morals and standards of behaviour we set for
ourselves and they include such universal concepts

Truthfulness
Honesty
Fairness
Justice
Honour

Such Standards of Behaviour are essentials for both


personal and social survival.
Values-Goals-Behaviour-Self value
Values give direction and consistency to behaviour.
Values help you know what to and not to make time for.
Values establish a relationship between you and the
World.
Values set the Direction for one’s life.
What is ethical behaviour?
A person who demonstrates ethical behaviour demonstrates a
strong moral code and a consistent set of values.

 Ethical van be rooted in belief or the pursuit of making the world
