What Is Problem Solving

Problem solving is the process of identifying issues, determining their root causes, and implementing solutions. It involves six steps: defining the problem, determining root causes, developing alternatives, selecting a solution, implementing it, and evaluating the outcome. This structured approach helps in overcoming obstacles and achieving success.

What is problem

solving
Problem solving is the process of finding solutions to difficult or complex
issues
Crossing or over coming the obstacles and berries that stand in our way of
success is what problem solving is all about.
It is the act of recognizing a problem , identifying its causes , selecting and
prioritizing alternatives , and implementing a solution
Working on problems is an important way to learn how to solve them.
There are three basic function ae involved in problem solving namely
gathering information, creating new knowledge , and making decisions based
on the knowledge.
• Problem solving steps
1,Define the problem.
2,Determine the root causes of the problem.
3,Develop alternative solutions.
4,select a solution.
5,Implement the solution.
6,Evaluate the outcome.
• Step1 Define the problem = It is necessary to identify the
problem, which includes the context, background and indicators
of the problem.
• step 2 determine the root causes of the problem= once the
problem is identified, the problem-solving process begins by
attempting to determine the root causes of the problem.
• Exploring the problem is a critical step in problem solving.
• As a result, determining the root cause of the problem becomes
critical.
• Step 3 develop alternative solutions=after analyzing the
problem,
it is possible to look for different solutions to the problem
Even if finding the best solution is difficult, reducing less
effective options is important in problem solving.
Step 4 select a solution = All potential solutions must be
thoroughly evaluated before making a final decision.
Weigh the benefits and drawbacks. Then , choose the option
that best fits the problem.
• Step five implement the solution
Putting a solution into action simply means putting a
decision into action. This step necessitates some action.
Step six evaluate the out come
What we put in place must be evaluated. Assessing the
solution entails a thorough examination of the best solution.
