WEB DEVELOPMENT INTRODUCTION
Web Development refers to the creation and maintenance of websites and web applications. It encompasses a
wide range of tasks, from designing the layout and structure of a website to writing code that powers
interactive features and functionalities.
Web development can be broadly classified into:
1.Front-end Development: This involves building the visible part of a website that users interact with. It
includes the use of technologies like:
1. HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) for structuring web content.
2. CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) for styling and layout.
3. JavaScript for adding interactivity and dynamic content.
2.Back-end Development: This involves creating the server-side logic and database interactions that allow the
website to function. It includes:
1. Server-side scripting (e.g., using PHP, Node.js).
2. Database management (e.g., using MySQL, MongoDB).
3.Full-stack Development: Developers skilled in both front-end and back-end development are known as full-
stack developers.
Web Development is an ever-evolving field with numerous tools and frameworks, such as Bootstrap, which
helps in developing responsive, mobile-first websites. It plays a crucial role in shaping the digital experience,
allowing businesses to connect with users through interactive, functional, and visually appealing websites.
