Introduction
A Good health is key to reaching our full potential, as it affects
learning, work, and overall well-being. Many people in our
community struggle to get the healthcare they need. Our project
focuses on making healthcare more accessible, sharing
knowledge about health, and providing essential medical
support to help everyone live healthier, more productive lives.
Objectives of the Project
1. To improve the health and well-being of individuals in Larkana and surrounding villages by
providing essential resources..

2. To alleviate food by distributing packages.

3. To promote environmental sustainability by plantation drives.

4. To educated childerns about how to keep them self healthy

5. To raise awareness about hygiene practices,

6. To foster a sense of unity and community care, ensuring that both immediate and long-term
needs of the community are met in a sustainable and impactful manner

Stakeholder:

Al Khidmat Foundation Pakistan is a non-political, non-


governmental, and non-profit organization dedicated to
humanitarian and social welfare services across
Pakistan. Established in 1990, the foundation has been
actively involved in various sectors, including disaster
management, healthcare, education, and orphan care
Methodology

Qualitative Analysis: We adopted a qualitative approach to address real-life challenges and feedbacks
in our community through personal engagement and collaborative efforts.

Project Planning and Partnership


Agreement (28th September 2024)

The project began with a planning phase where


objectives were clearly defined, and tasks were
outlined. Extensive research was conducted to
identify local NGOs and community groups that
could support the project
Activities Undertaken:
1. Tree Planting at
Government Municipal High
School, Larkana (5th
October 2024)
To promote environmental
sustainability, the team organized a
tree-planting drive at the Government
Municipal High School in Larkana.
Over 30 trees were replanted,
enhancing the school’s green spaces
and contributing to a healthier
environment for students and staff
Activities Undertaken:
2. Running the Medical
Camp in Gerelo Village (2nd
November 2024)
The first medical camp was conducted
in Gerelo village, where six doctors
provided free health check-ups,
consultations, and medical advice to
over 100 patients. Vaccinations for
common diseases, including malaria,
were also administered. This initiative
significantly improved access to
healthcare in the underserved village.

3. Food Distribution at
Chandka Medical Hospital,
Larkana (9th November 2024)
The team organized a food distribution
drive at Chandka Medical Hospital
(CMC), distributing food boxes to over
100 patients and their families. This
effort aimed to alleviate the financial
burden on families dealing with medical
expenses while addressing immediate
nutritional needs

4. Children’s Day
Celebration at Special
Children’s School (23nd
November 2024)
To support children with special needs,
the team visited a special children’s
school and celebrated Children’s Day.
Over 70 children were given
chocolates and other snacks, bringing
joy and encouragement to their lives

5. AlKhidmat Foundation
Medical Camp (23rd
November 2024)
In collaboration with AlKhidmat
Foundation, the team conducted
another medical camp in Larkana,
providing free medical check-ups,
treatments, and vaccinations for
diseases like malaria. This camp
served over 100 patients from the
local community.

6. Assistance to an Elderly Woman (25th


November 2024)

An elderly woman in need was identified and provided


with a blanket, ensuring she had essential warmth and
comfort during the winter season

at Sweet Home (30th
November 2024)
A Fruit Day celebration was
organized at Sweet Home, where
gifts and fruits were distributed to
30 children. The activity aimed to
create a positive atmosphere and
support the well-being of children
without parental care.

Session at Local School
(7th December 2024)
A session on health and hygiene was
conducted at a local school. Children
were educated on proper
handwashing techniques and the use
of sanitizers. The team distributed
hand wash and sanitizers to the
students to promote better hygiene

9. Grocery Distribution at
Pilot School, Larkana (26th
December 2024)
To address food insecurity, a grocery
distribution drive was organized at Pilot
School in Larkana. Grocery packages
(raashan) were distributed to 500
individuals from Larkana and nearby
villages. This activity was carried out in
partnership with AlKhidmat Foundation,
ensuring widespread impact.
Challenges and Solutions

1. Limited Resources:
Challenge: Securing sufficient financial and material resources for multiple
activities.
Solution: Partnering with Al Khidmat Foundation and local organizations to
ensure adequate funding and support.

2. Logistical Issues:
Challenge: Coordinating the transportation and distribution of materials across
various locations.
Solution: Developed a detailed logistical plan and relied on community
volunteers for support.

3. Community Engagement:
Challenge: Encouraging participation in medical camps and educational
sessions.
Solution: Collaborated with local schools, hospitals, and community
leaders to raise awareness and encourage attendance.

4. Time Constraints:
Challenge: Managing multiple activities within a tight timeline.
Solution: Scheduled activities meticulously and delegated responsibilities
to ensure smooth execution.
Results and Impact

Outcomes Achieved:
1. Accessibility to improved health care: The two medical camps addressed urgent health issues and
promoted wellness in underprivileged communities by offering more than 200 free medical examinations,
consultations, and medications.

2. Hygiene Awareness Encouraged: The risk of disease spread in communities and schools was lowered by

conducting hygiene sessions where children taught the correct hand washing techniques.

3. Environmental Sustainability: Over 30 trees were planted, making public areas greener and raising

awareness of environmental issues.

4. Emotional and Social Support: Created moments of happiness and inclusivity by giving gifts and caring for

more than 100 kids at Sweet Home and special child homes.

• Community Involvement: The direct participation helps to raise

awareness about environmental, hygiene, and health issues.


• Levels of Satisfaction: The response was appreciative as recipients were

happy with the food distribution and medical camps.

Lessons Learned
Skills developed:
Teamwork: Completed tasks effectively by working with volunteers,
peers, and groups like the Al Khidmat Foundation.
Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in resource management, event
planning and coordination, and logistical problem-solving.
Problem Solving: He demonstrated creativity and agility in problems
such as the time and resources available.
Communication: He participated in community events, took opinions,
and led training.
Conclusion
It was an exciting experience to complete this project by learning through
hands-on real life and exercising such a great amount of influence. Their
collaboration with Al Khidmat Foundation and community stakeholders was
shown to how a community service transforms people's lives. Appreciations and
words of encouragement from beneficiaries confirmed the importance of this
project and inspired them to take part in bigger, reach-oriented future projects.
