Isometric Views MS

The document provides guidelines for creating isometric views of geometric shapes, emphasizing the importance of isometric axes, lines, and planes. It details the process of tilting cubes for different views and the necessary angles for isometric projections. Additionally, it includes instructions for drawing isometric views of various figures, including circles and rectangles, based on their front and top views.

Tilt the cube about g’ such that in FV e’c’ becomes parallel to xy

Tilt the cube such that ec in top view becomes perpendicular to xy
A projection is isometric only if all the orthogonal sides of the cube in that view make equal
angle with each other
An isometric projection
SOME IMPORTANT TERMS:

ISOMETRIC AXES, LINES AND PLANES:

The three lines AL, AD and AH, meeting at point A and making
1200 angles with each other are termed Isometric Axes.
A
The lines parallel to these axes are called Isometric Lines.

The planes representing the faces of of the cube as well as

other planes parallel to these planes are called Isometric Planes.
