 Benefits of specialization by performing the same


task repetitively the employees gain proficiency.
 Clarity in working relationships by establishing a
hierarchical order of well defined jobs.
 Optimum utilization of resources as effective
organization ensures proper allocation of jobs
and helps to avoid duplication of activities.
 Development of personnel includes delegation of
work to the employees which enables them to
realize their full potential.
 Adaptation to change ensures stability of the
organization so that changes do not impede in
the growth and survival.
 Expansion and growth of the organization by
promoting its smooth working and stability.

PROCESS
 Identification and division of work : the process of
organizing is initiated with identification of varied activities
and divide the work to be performed in order to carry out an
assigned task, the work so identified is divided among
members.
 Departmentalization : it refers to specialization. The
organizing process involves grouping of similar and
manageable activities into departments or units or sections on
the basis of some predetermined criteria.
 Assignment of duties : the work is assigned to individual
employees on the basis of their relative potential.
 Establishing reporting relationship : here reporting refers
to responsibility. In order to ensure effective coordination it is
essential that while assigning jobs, each member is told that
