OSI-Model
Open System Interconnection
• A fiber optic cable is a network cable that contains
strands of glass fibers inside an insulated casing.
• They're designed for long-distance, high-
performance data networking, and
telecommunications.
• Compared to wired cables, fiber optic cables
provide higher bandwidth and transmit data over
longer distances.
• Fiber optic cables support much of the world's
internet, cable television, and telephone systems.
Commonly Known as Cat6 cable connected
with RJ45 Connector
Some Common Types of Network systems are as following.
Personal Area Network (PAN)
• A personal area network (PAN) connects
devices within a user's immediate area.

• The size of a PAN ranges from a few

centimeters to a few meters.

• One of the most common real-world

examples of a PAN is the connection
between a Bluetooth earpiece and a
smartphone.
