Introduction

Smart Home Automation is a new system that allows users to control electrical appliances
remotely using their smartphones. This technology saves time and allows users to operate
household appliances from a mobile device. The system uses various sensors, such as LM35, IR
sensor, LDR module, and Nodemcu ESP8266, to control various home appliances, such as light,
fan, AC, door, water tank, energy consumption, and security level. The sensors detect human
presence and provide messages to the home owner via a mobile app. The system can also
automatically pump water into the water tank, detect gas and fire, and send messages to the
homeowner. The functional model of the proposed project is developed as a prototype and
explained as a functional model. Home automation is a significant change in people's lives,
improving and simplifying the quality of life.

Motivation

▪ Convenience and Comfort: Usually the electrical control system is on one side of the room, so we often find that the user
rarely uses it due to illness or laziness. This results in a lot of energy being wasted.
▪ Safety and Security: We often see a lot of damage to our homes due to gas leakage, fire, robbery, rain and thieves. Our
system has been incorporated to address this vulnerability.
▪ Energy Efficiency: We have incorporated automation into our system for lighting, fan, and temperature control. which
prevents wastage of electricity.
▪ Remote Accessibility: We aim to provide users with an easy control and smart control experience, empowering them to
manage and monitor their homes from anywhere through smartphones and remote controls.
▪ Integration and Centralized Control: The motivation of the project lies in creating a centralized control system. which
integrates multiple functionalities. and enhances the user experience by creating a comprehensive home automation system.
▪ Technological Advancements: The project is motivated by the desire to explore and leverage emerging technologies in the
field of home automation. The project aims to incorporate fingerprint lock systems for home security and utilize advanced
sensors and connectivity options.

Test Results and Reports
In order to establish a successful connection with the server, we first need to create a user account
that increases the security of our smart home automation system. Then the sensor collects data
from the environment and sends it to the web server. How user accounts are created and server
connections are shown in the "Design Details" section. Also, implementation of connections for
system testing is shown in through circuit diagrams. To monitor the system. shows the web server
page, and shows the Android application and system monitoring and control permissions. Also,
system activity and information will be displayed on web server pages and Android applications.
show live data collected by sensors for various activities in environment and rain, such as control
lights and fans, pump automation, gas leakage detection, fire detection automation, routine work
and outdoor automation. Detection, temperature monitoring, and motion detection for security
purposes.
