PERFORMANCE TASK

ESP AND CL
G (Goal):
You will create a portfolio that showcases how you practice and live
out key Christian values such as honesty, respect for sexuality, resisting
negative influences from peers, and serving others in your School. This
portfolio will serve as a reflection of your personal growth and actions
as a disciple of Christ.
• R (Role):
As a Grade 8 student, you are a young Christian striving to live
according to your faith. Your role is to demonstrate how you apply
Christian principles in real life through specific actions, reflections, and
a school service project.
A (Audience):
Your audience includes your teacher, classmates, and anyone
who benefits from the school service project. Your portfolio will
be assessed by how well you demonstrate Christian values in
both personal and communal contexts.
• S (Situation):
You are challenged to showcase how you actively apply the
values of honesty, respect, resisting peer pressure, and Christian
service in daily life. Additionally, you will engage in a service
activity that requires you to make sacrifices and serve others for
the good of the school.
P (Product/Performance):
The product is a portfolio that will contain the following:
1. Personal Reflection Journal: Entries that reflect your actions and thoughts on
honesty, respect for sexuality, resisting peer pressure, and living out your
Christian vocation.
2. Peer Pressure Case Study: A written case study of a situation where you resisted
peer pressure and applied Christian values, with a focus on how you handled it.
3. School Report: A report detailing your participation in a school service project
(with photos, descriptions, and reflections on how this project allowed you to
serve others and make sacrifices for their well-being).
4. Final Reflection Paper: A comprehensive reflection summarizing your learning
and growth in applying the Christian values of honesty, respect, and service
throughout the task.
