Communications Check
> The communication status of a device is evaluated with each
communication initiated by the Com'X 510

> Com'X 510 will detect devices that are causing message time-outs
and temporarily takes these devices out of service.

> User can execute a manual communications check and can also
define the Out of Service Time

> Once a device has been marked as “Out of Service” it remains in this
state until the communication has been re-established autonomously
or by a user initiated manual communications check.

Remote Access & Firmware Upgrade

> Remote Access allows Schneider Electric support personnel to


connect remotely to a Com'X 510 to check its settings and to
troubleshoot the device without having to go to the customer site.
> In the System Settings sub tab, the Remote Access button can be
activated or deactivated
> Firmware on the Com'X 510 can be updated from

Com’X 510 Resets

> Resetting the password does not affect the configuration settings and
data.
> The web server is a tool for reading and writing data. It controls the
state of the system, with full access to all data in your application. You
will be prompted to change your password the 1st time you log in to
prevent unauthorized access to the application.
> The new password must contain:

> 1 uppercase letter

> 2nd method: using a USB key
> Save the firmware file on the USB key
> Rename the firmware file: « upgrade.sp1» so the Com’X510 knows which file
it should use
> Reboot the Com’X 510
> Process should take around10 minutes

> The configuration of Com’X510 will remain unchanged


> A log file is created on the USB key with the serial number of the unit
being upgraded

> Clear the cache of your browser


> Ensure that there isn’t any old file on the USB key with a file name
corresponding to a serial number of Com’X510 (this file could have been
created from a previous upgrade using the same USB key)
