• Preparation of GIS based Hydraulic Model for the Existing & Proposed water supply system. Demarcation of
zones and identification of the problems in the existing system. Assigning Levels and Demand to the Network from GIS
system in coordination with Planning & Engineering Dept. Analysing the model using advance technology of GIS &
Hydraulic Modelling using ArcGIS and Bentley’s Watergems softwares (latest versions and Unlimited Nodes).
• Checking of existing service tanks for adequacy of the storage with an emphasis that the tanks shall not remain
empty nor overflowing. Identification of the Zones, checking its serving areas, Re zoning and establishment of new
zones, Formation of DMAs and Sub DMAs using very scientific and systematic method using GIS and Modelling
technology and in coordination with Engineer in charge.
• Preparation of GIS based Hydraulic Model for new network in coordination with the existing network and studying the
hydraulics of the system in an integrated and wholistic manner. Preparing the rehabilitation plan by replacement of
pipe and valve etc using the hydraulic model. Designing of new system and ensuring the adequacy of the overall
water supply system for equitable and continuous water supply for the entire AOI, catering the current and futuristic
demand. At the same time ensuring 100% coverage. Studying the Development plan and assigning the demands to
open plots / areas developable in the future as per the direction of Engineer in charge.
• Steady State Analysis design for sizing of proposed pipelines. Analysing the system using Steady State Analysis
Method and Extended Period Simulation method of Watergems. Carrying out Water Hammer Analysis for Rising mains
using Bentley’s Water Hammer. Design of transmission feeder main connecting MBR to various service tanks.
• Network simulation and Fixing location of the bulk meters at the entry point of each DMA with sizing of the meters.
Fixing location and sizing of Isolation Valve. Fixing location and sizing of Scour Valve etc. Checking the adequacy of
Existing Pumps / Proposed Pumps and Designing of duty points of Required pumps.
• Deriving the quantities of various elements of the water supply system as required for equitable distribution of water.
Preparation of detailed project report (DPR) along with Design Report, Working Drawings, Design Statements, GIS
Maps, Location and Quantity maps of various elements of the water supply system, Preparation of L Section Drawings
etc...
