ABSTRACT:
⮚ The first technology is to communicate with the Wireless
Sensor Network (WSN), but this technology can only
perform near-distance sensing and processing in contrast to
the Internet of Things (IoT) which can perform Internet
based long-distance communication.
⮚ Low-Power Wide-Area-Network (LPWAN) is low power
consumption but long range technology.
⮚ One technology that is widely used is LoRa and its open
access utilizes LoRa.
INTRODUCTION:

⮚ The smart home enables user to manage the energy consumed and
increase savings by controlling lighting, window coverings, irrigation
and monitoring usage. The portability and technologies of
smartphone increased the users interest in controlling their appliances
from the smartphones.
⮚ LoRa technology uses LoRa Wide Area Network (LoRa) protocol to
solve several types of real-life problems like controlling pollution,
preventing disaster, managing energy, reducing natural resources, and
automation.
⮚ The functional areas are home automation, smart irrigation power
management, smart cities, smart metering etc. Around 100 million
devices throughout 100 countries are connected to the network of
LoRa.

EXISTING SYSTEM:
⮚ This system reviews various topics on smart home
technologies including control system, smart home
network, smart home appliance and sensor technologies
for smart home.
⮚ In this research, the proposed prototype of home
automation allows users to remotely switch on or off
any household appliances based on Internet of Things
(IoT) with the enhancement of solar charger.
⮚ This prototype uses four types of sensors i.e. PIR sensor,
temperature sensor, ultrasonic sensor and smoke gas sensor
for automatic environmental control and intrusion detection.
PROPOSED SYSTEM:
⮚ This paper proposes a capable architecture of home
automation for both short-range and long-range utilizing
multiple communication technologies, namely LoRa
server-based LoRa gateway and Bluetooth connectivity.
⮚ This integrated system effectively controls distinct types of
home appliances and keeps smart management among all
the electronics components. A regular user can easily
manage these unified systems by using an Android
application.
⮚ The results and discussion section provide a set of
experiments like estimated transmission delay calculation
for LoRa , Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, a coverage area
calculation for LoRa with RSSI and SNR values, and a
System Usability Scale (SUS).
