Abstract
In the earlier days, students had to visit the college to enquire about details like courses,
fee structure, admission process and other information's about the college, which is a
tiresome and long process . This is where we thought of using an intelligent bot
delivering the information. College Enquiry Chatbot is a simple python web application
which aims to provide the information regarding college asked by the user. The chatbot is
designed to provide quick and accurate responses to students' queries regarding college
admissions, courses, and other related information. The system uses Natural Language
Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) algorithms to understand and respond to
user queries. A college enquiry chatbot is a web application that utilizes artificial
intelligence concepts to engage in conversations with humans, providing information
regarding colleges and responding to student queries. The chatbot aims to offer quick and
efficient responses to student inquiries, analyzing user inputs and understanding the
context of the conversation. The chatbot can be integrated into college websites, allowing
students to access information and receive support 24/7.

Introduction
A College Enquiry Chatbot is highly relevant as it streamlines communication between
prospective students and educational institutions. By utilizing artificial intelligence, these
chatbots can efficiently address queries related to admissions, courses, faculty, and
campus facilities, enhancing user experience and accessibility. They serve as a valuable
tool for colleges to provide timely information and support to potential students,
ultimately aiding in their decision-making process.
The increasing demand for higher education has led to a surge in the number of students
seeking admission to colleges. However, the process of seeking information about
colleges and their courses can be time-consuming and tedious. To address this issue, we
propose the development of a college enquiry chatbot system that can provide quick and
accurate responses to students' queries.

There have been several studies conducted focusing on the development of chatbots for
diverse applications, like customer care and support, healthcare, and education. There
are few studies where the development has mainly focused on college inquiries.

Examines the role of college inquiry chatbots in personalized student guidance, including
providing tailored information on academic programs and campus facilities.
2. Research By R. B. Gupta, S. K. Jain(2020):
Explores the use of AI-driven chatbots in streamlining college inquiries, enhancing student
engagement, and improving response times for admission-related questions.
3. Research By F. R. T. McDonald, L. J. Gupta(2023):
Proposes a framework for designing intuitive, user-friendly college inquiry chatbots that
enhance prospective students' overall experience through seamless interactions.
Problem Statement
Problem Statement for College Query Assistance Chatbot:
With the current dynamics of education, it is not easy for students and parents to
obtain the correct information and in good time regarding colleges. Ways of getting
such information traditionally like writing emails, making phone calls or visiting the
agencies are often very boring and ineffective and even sometimes impossible if one
needs the information after the normal working hours.
Objective & Scope
Scope:
The scope of the College Inquiry Chatbot Project outlines the boundaries and
key deliverables for developing an AI-powered chatbot aimed at assisting
prospective students in navigating the college admissions process and
providing information about academic programs, campus life, financial aid,
and more. This scope will define the chatbot's functionalities, technological
components, user demographics, and the extent to which it integrates with
existing college systems.
