DEFINITIONS

Fuzzy Logic is a form of reasoning that deals with

approximate rather than fixed and exact values.
Unlike traditional Boolean logic, which operates
with binary true or false values (0 or 1), Fuzzy Logic
allows for degrees of truth, ranging between 0 and
1. This approach is useful in handling uncertainty,
imprecise data, and complex systems where
conventional logic may struggle (Deepak, 2021)
DEFINITIONS

Fuzzy Logic is a mathematical approach that mimics

human reasoning by handling approximate and uncertain
data. Unlike traditional Boolean Logic, which classifies
statements as either true (1) or false (0), Fuzzy Logic
allows for degrees of truth, meaning a statement can be
partially true (e.g., 0.3, 0.7, etc.).
This concept is particularly useful for dealing with real-
world situations where binary distinctions (true/false,
yes/no) are insufficient, such as in weather forecasting,
artificial intelligence, and control systems.
DEFINITIONS

The idea of fuzzy logic is based close to the human reasoning

and regular exercises. It presents predicates which are available
in nature and like those either enormous or little. This
hypothesis copies human brain science in the matter of how a
man settles on the choice speedier. Fuzzy logic is a superset of
ordinary (Boolean) logic that has been stretched out to deal
with the idea of halfway truth - truth esteems between "totally
obvious" and "totally false". It can be actualized in equipment,
programming, or a mix of both. It can be incorporated with
anything from little, hand-held items to vast modernized

A fuzzy expert system is an expert system that uses fuzzy logic
instead of Boolean logic. Fuzzy expert systems are the most
common use of fuzzy logic. They are used in several wide-
ranging fields, including:
-Linear and nonlinear control.
-Pattern recognition.
-Financial systems

ADVANTAGES OF FUZZY LOGIC SYSTEM
 This system can work with any type of inputs whether it is imprecise, distorted or
noisy input information.
 The construction of Fuzzy Logic Systems is easy and understandable.
 Fuzzy logic comes with mathematical concepts of set theory and the reasoning of
that is quite simple.
 It provides a very efficient solution to complex problems in all fields of life as it
resembles human reasoning and decision-making.
The algorithms can be described with little data, so little memory is required
LIMITATIONS OF FUZZY LOGIC SYSTEM

 Many researchers proposed different ways to solve a given problem through

fuzzy logic which leads to ambiguity. There is no systematic approach to solve
a given problem through fuzzy logic.
 Proof of its characteristics is difficult or impossible in most cases because
every time we do not get a mathematical description of our approach.
 As fuzzy logic works on precise as well as imprecise data so most of the time
accuracy is compromised
CONCLUSION
Fuzzy systems have emerged as a powerful tool for dealing with uncertainty and imprecision in complex systems. By
leveraging fuzzy logic and fuzzy set theory, fuzzy systems can effectively model and analyze uncertain phenomena,
providing robust and adaptive solutions (Zadeh, 1965; Klir & Yuan, 1995).

The applications of fuzzy systems are diverse and widespread, ranging from control systems and pattern recognition
to decision-making and robotics (Mamdani, 1974; Takagi & Sugeno, 1985). The benefits of fuzzy systems include
improved accuracy, enhanced robustness, and increased flexibility, making them an attractive solution for many
real-world problems (Yager & Filev, 1994).

As fuzzy systems continue to evolve and mature, we can expect to see even more innovative applications across
various fields. With their unique ability to handle uncertainty and imprecision, fuzzy systems are poised to play an
increasingly important role in shaping the future of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and beyond.
