Abstract

Fire accidents cause significant losses.

Objective: Develop an IoT-based system for real-
time fire detection and notifications.
Solution: Combines ESP8266, flame sensor, and
Arduino IoT Cloud for remote monitoring and
instant alerts.
Methodology

1. Flame sensor detects fire by sensing infrared

light.
2. Data is processed by ESP8266 microcontroller.
3. ESP8266 sends data to Arduino IoT Cloud.
4. IoT Cloud triggers notifications (email or mobile).
5. Optional safety measures (alarms, sprinklers).
Architecture
Hardware Required

1. ESP8266 Microcontroller: Wi-Fi-enabled for

IoT integration
2. Flame Sensor: Detects infrared emissions
from flames.
3. Power Supply: Ensures consistent operation.
4. Optional: Alarms, sprinklers for additional
safety.
Key Features

- Real-time monitoring and alerts.

- Cost-effective and energy-efficient.
- Scalable for various applications (homes,
offices, industries).
- Easy-to-use dashboard via Arduino IoT Cloud.
Applications

- Residential fire detection.

- Industrial and office safety monitoring.
- Public spaces like malls, hospitals, and
schools.
Benefi ts

- Reliability: Accurate and timely alerts.

- Flexibility: Supports multiple environments.
- Remote Monitoring: Accessible from anywhere
via IoT Cloud.
- Automation: Trigger alarms or safety
measures when necessary.
