What is CMS?
• A Content Management system is simply a
system that manages content !
– Contents include texts, images, files, etc.
• Or in other words, it can be anything that is
likely to be stored and managed in an

format.
– Management-build, modification, remove, etc.
• The ‘Management’ refers to the process of

content via rules and process
– The ‘System’ itself is definable as a software
tool, or

related software modules which are used to store
and later retrieve huge amounts of data.
• It is based on a pre-written template that acts as
a platform for each page in the site as those
pages are created.

content during its entire lifecycle that is from
creation through publishing

feel throughout your site,

publish and update their own content using
