The writing process refers to
the steps someone takes to compose text. Steps of Writing process
Steps of writing process is as follows:
Step 1: Prewriting Prewriting
Pre-writing literally means “before writing’’.
You actually begin writing your essay, you will need to do the following things/steps: Brainstorming Free-writing Clustering Outlining Brainstorming
•Just Think Brainstorming
Brainstorming means thinking of as
many ideas as possible in a short amount of time. It is used to generate and collect multiple ideas related to project and product requirements. Free Writing
•Just write Free-writing
Free-writing is writing freely
without regarding quality or correctness. The purpose is to get what’s in your head on to paper or screen without stopping. You can consider this as a warm up exercise. Clustering Clustering is also known as mind mapping, diagramming, bubbling etc. and is a brainstorming method. This method uses visualization to capture your thoughts. Place your topic in the center and write down related ideas, terms or words that come into your mind around it connected by lines. You can delve further into these subtopics by breaking them down as well. Example of Clustering Outlining
Outlining help with neatly organizing
what you have already found out through research and brainstorming. It will help find out the important points that will help you tell your story, from the jumble of ideas you have gathered. Step2: Drafting Drafting Drafting occur when you put your ideas into sentences and paragraph. This draft tends to be writer-centered: it is telling yourself what you know and think about the topic. You don’t need to pay much attention to such spelling, but pay more attention to the purpose and focus of your work. Step3: Revising Revising This is a critical part of the writing process. During this phase you will revisit the draft and improve it by modifying and rearranging the content. Here you think more deeply about your reader’s needs and expectations. The document becomes reader-centered. How much support will each idea need to convince your readers? Is your organization effective? Step 4: Editing Editing/Proofreading Editing is a stage of the writing process in which writer or editor strives to improve a draft by correcting grammar or spelling mistakes. Replacing or removing mistakes where possible. Step 5: Publishing Publishing Share your writing with others! Illustrate your story. Post it online. Try to get published! Listen to someone else read it. Why you need to follow a writing process?

reasons: It will help you write better and fast. By breaking down the task into manageable steps, you can do away with the struggling, and procrastinating.
