WHAT IS COMPUTER ?
• The word “ Computer” is derived from the word “ Compute ” which
means to calculate.
• A computer is an electronic machine that used to solve different kind

• A computer can perform the following functions:
1. Accepts data and instructions ( as input ) and store them .
2. Processes or manipulates the data according to given instructions.
3. Stores information permanently on storage devices for later use
