Policies and coverages
• A policy is a contract
policy between the carrier and the
insured in which the carrier
promises to cover the
insured for specific types of
losses
• A coverage is protection
coverage
from a specific risk and is
always attached to a
coverable such as vehicle or
a building

• An account is a single person
