The feature allows users to view saved items will be organized into three separate tabs:
• In Progress
• Archived
• Completed
However, only 12% of users are utilizing this feature which is a significant challenge to user
experience and hinders the platform's potential to maximize user productivity.
Problem
The low adoption rate of the "Save for Later" feature is a concern for Slack's user experience and
productivity goals. This feature is designed to enhance productivity by allowing users to
bookmark important messages, files, or content for easy access later. Now if only 12% of users
are utilizing this feature, it suggests that a significant portion of the user base is not taking full
advantage of the platform's capabilities to streamline their workflow.

• Lost context during product transitions • Rapid context switching
• Difficulty tracking multiple product updates • Information overload
• Communication gap • Collaborating across projects
Implementation
Develop interactive tutorials that guide users through the process of saving and retrieving content.
Implement in-app prompts that suggest using “Save for Later” in relevant scenarios.
Personalize prompts based on user behavior and role (e.g: show developers how to save code snippets, show product
managers how to save post launch feedback for later use)

Implementation
Highlight how other teams or individuals are effectively using "Save for Later" to improve their workflow (e.g., in blog
posts, case studies, or within the Slack app itself).
Encourage users to share their "Saved Items" with their teams or in a dedicated Slack channel, showcasing the value and
creativity of the feature.
Utilize channels, threads, and direct messages to promote successful use cases and encourage user engagement with the
"Save for Later" feature.
