Parts of MS word and its Functions 1. Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) is a customizable toolbar containing a set of commands that are independent of the tab that is currently displayed. 2. Title bar-displays the name of the document you are currently using. 3. Ribbon is a command bar that organizes a program's features into a series of tabs at the top of the screen. 4. Dialog box launcher is typically represented by a small square with an arrow pointing diagonally downward and to the right. 5.Status bar located at the bottom of your screen, includes basic information, such as the page number of the open document, the language used in the document, and its overall word count. 6. View buttons are a feature that lets you change how the presentation or document appears. 7. Zoom button use to zoom in and out are Ctrl + + and Ctrl + -, respectively. You can return to 100% zoom by pressing Ctrl + 0 on your keyboard. 8. Minimize- remove Word from view and place the Word icon on the Windows taskbar. 9. Maximize-allows users to enlarge a window, usually filling the entire screen or the program window where it is contained. 10. Close button- click "X" in the upper right corner of window 11. Scroll Bar- functionality allows you to move the view contents up and down or left and right 12.
